The internet used to feel like somewhere

Before every online space became a feed, there were places you could enter. You knew the regulars. You had a favourite corner. A conversation could begin because someone wore a peculiar head or put a mysterious object on the floor.

Habitat 2D brings that feeling into a new world. It is not a museum and it is not a remake. The world is alive, growing and waiting for its first stories.

IDENTITY

Arrive as a ghost. Become somebody.

Everyone begins as a presence in the world. Find a body, choose a head, recolour your look and register the name people will remember. Your avatar is not a profile picture tucked beside a message. It stands in the room with everyone else.

CONVERSATION

Talk where things happen

Conversation belongs to the room. Everything said appears in the log above the scene, coloured by kind so that speech, arrivals, information and trouble are told apart at a glance. React with moods and gestures, send a private message to a friend, or simply sit and watch the world go by.

The world gives every conversation a setting and every meeting a chance to become a memory.

THINGS

A pocket-sized world of objects

Carry items in your hand or pocket. Give something away. Store your finds in a chest. Buy scenery, discover unusual objects and hand them to other residents.

In Habitat 2D, possessions are visible parts of the world, not numbers buried in a menu.

HOMES

Make a place worth returning to

Rent a turf of your own, from a single room to a larger apartment. Paint the walls, arrange the furniture and invite people in. Your home can be a quiet retreat, a collection, a club, a shopfront or the beginning of something nobody has thought of yet.

GAMES

Games are better with a room full of people

Join live bingo, take a seat at the card table or turn up for community events. The point is not an endless progression bar. It is the suspense, the banter and the people who were there when it happened.
